This past weekend was my bachelorette weekend. Saturday night we had a wonderful dinner, and Sunday we all hopped in a limo and headed for Cayuga Lake. One of the best parts about living in Rochester is the proximity to the Finger Lakes. Just an hour drive and you’re in one of the most beautiful places in New York. You can pretty much throw a rock and hit a winery.
Up until Sunday, the only lake I’d ever been to was Seneca Lake, which is one of the more popular locations for wine tours. So we decided to switch it up and head to Cayuga Lake. The weather could not have been more perfect, and since it was Sunday, most of the wineries were quiet leaving plenty of room for our shenanigans.
For this special occasion I had shirts made at Custom Ink for all of the girls. I really wanted them to have a team t-shirt feel, and I really enjoyed this lumberjack hockey player. We also had all of our nicknames added to the back. I think they turned out awesome.
My goal was to get a few bottles to fill our wine rack, but I accidentally bought to much. Oops. It’s easy to get carried away when you’re sampling so many delicious wines. The trip ended with all of us running around a grassy field in front of our last winery, doing cartwheels, drinking Riesling, and enjoying the sunshine. We all had a blast, and the trip was definitely a reminder of how awesome my friends are and how lucky I am to have them all in my life. I can’t wait to see them all again on Saturday, and I can’t wait until our next wine tour!
