Okay, how yummy are oversized turtlenecks? I couldn’t resist the marled color or knit texture of this one – it’s just so perfect for the cool weather! I think I’ve mentioned this before on here, but in the past I had an aversion to turtlenecks because I hated them as a kid. They were itchy and always made me feel like I was choking. If you’d have asked me how to style a turtleneck back then I probably would have laughed. I’m definitely glad I came around to them in adulthood because I love them so much.
Knowing how to style a turtleneck can be difficult because they’re a little but bulky and can be more of an outfit centerpiece. I kept this outfit simple with dark wash jeans (btw – OBSESSED with these ones from Paige. They’re so comfortable and they fit amazingly!) and my black OTK boots. I’ve definitely been wearing these boots on repeat since I got them – I don’t know why it took me so long to buy a pair of flat boots like this, but they go with everything. This might be TMI, but for the past few months I’ve had a planter’s wart on my toe, and almost any shoe has been super painful to wear for long period of time. This is the only boot I can wear without any pain. I actually just ordered them in the ‘Truffle’ color – they’re on sale for under $70 and I know I’ll wear them often. They’re actually great for travel as well – they’re super lightweight and the shaft just rolls up easily in a suitcase. If we end up heading back to Europe they’ll definitely be one of the first things packed.
