It’s so hard to believe our last day in Germany was a week ago! Sometimes it feels like it was all a dream, and sometimes I catch myself saying “Danke” to people instead of “Thank you”. It always takes a little bit of time for me to adjust.
On our last evening in Germany, Jeff and I took a bottle of Cremant D’Alsace (which we bought on our trip to France) and popped it open in the orchard in front of our apartment. We sat in the grass and took in the beautiful view of the Alps one last time while sipping the most delicious wine. It was picture perfect.
By now you guys have probably noticed that oversized sweaters and t-shirts have kind of been my go-to latley. I can’t help it… it was so hot during the days in Lindau (70+), but the nights were cool (30-ish). I was all about the layers to make sure I didn’t freeze when the sun went down! I added a fedora and some layered necklaces to this look for a little polish. I know I’ve said this before, but fedoras just make everything look cooler.
Today I fly back to Spokane, I’m so excited to be home, but I’m also so thankful for my time at my dad’s house in Jersey. Even thought it’s been almost 3 years since I last visited, it felt like nothing had changed. To be honest, I was very stressed out about visiting since I knew it wouldn’t be the same without my mom. Luckily it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. I was able to visit family I haven’t seen in forever and pack up some of my childhood things to ship to Spokane. It was a nice little trip – I’ll have to make sure it’s not 3 years before I come back again!
Hope you all have a great Wednesday, and don’t forget to join the Fashion Frenzy Linkup below!
