Confession: I have kind of been loving rompers lately. They’re just so carefree in the summer, and I love how they can be paired with jackets or a cozy sweater for the Fall months. This romper (on sale for under $20!) jumped out at me recently when I was out and about, and after trying it on I knew I couldn’t leave without it. The print is so fun!
I wore this romper out to the Vintage Spokane wine and food event that Jeff and I went to on Sunday. It was the perfect balance of dressy/casual. I paired it with my Topshop Leather Jacket (a Nordstrom Sale buy) incase it got chilly inside. I’m so obsessed with this jacket – it’s real leather and I know I’ll be wearing it all the time when the weather cools down.
As I mentioned on Monday’s post, Vintage Spokane was so much fun. It’s an event where wineries from around Washington State come together with restaurants around the area, set up their booth, and do tastings – almost like a trade show. This year it was held in a huge conference room in the Davenport Hotel in Downtown Spokane. There was over 60 wineries tasting their wine and handful of restaurants handing out bite sized hors d’oeuvres. I’ve gone to Vintage Spokane the past 2 years without much prior planning, but this year Jeff and I researched the wineries that would be there and the wines we wanted to try from each. It was SO much better that way – we enjoyed ourselves more and discovered so many new wineries.
While Jeff usually likes red and I prefer whites, we both agreed on our favorite wineries and wines of the night – and the funny thing was that most of the vineyards were from the Prosser area of Washington. I’ve only visited the Lake Chelan region, and now I know Prosser needs to be on the top of our “must visit” list. I’ve always thought Walla Walla was the place to go, but maybe I was wrong! I can’t wait to start planning the trip 😉 A few wines that stood out were the sparkling Albirino from Coyote Canyon, all of the Robert Karl reds, the Sauvignon Blanc from Airfield Estates, and Love Birds rose from Kerloo Cellars. Washington just has so much great wine… I love living here!
