It’s hard to believe we’re almost halfway through the first month of 2018. I hope you’ve been keeping up with those New Year’s resolutions and goals! Since so many people have fitness-related resolutions, I thought I’d put together a “gym style guide” series, this week focusing on to and from attire.
Since I typically work out in shorts and a tank top, I always layer up before I head to the gym. If I’m cold, I find it very hard to be motivated to leave my house! I’m almost always wearing a pair of joggers and a warm coat (I love this one because it’s fitted and has an athletic feel) over my gym clothes. Since I usually work out in the morning, I don’t have my hair or makeup done. Sunglasses and a hat are a great solution. I’m loving this pair right now – they’ll be so cute in the summer too. I always wear different shoes to the gym than I use at the gym. My gym/training shoes are exclusively indoor shoes (they’re 2 years old and still look brand new!), so I usually wear a pair of casual sneakers with my joggers and carry the other pair in my bag.
I know it sounds silly, but being comfortable and confident on the way to the gym makes a big difference in how I feel during my workout! Let me know what you normally wear to the gym in the comments below!
