Recently it feels like winter arrived overnight. The chill in the air is a little more aggressive, and I swear I saw a few snowflakes. Both myself and my wardrobe are not quite ready, but somehow I’ve been making it work.
In case you haven’t noticed by now, I’ve kind of been living in oversized sweaters lately. I don’t know about you, but my winter style always feels a little more relaxed and lazier than warmer months. If I’m going to be cold, I would like to at least be super comfortable in every other way! Each year I rely on my beige topcoat to make my comfy outfits look a little more structured and put together. I’ve had it for three years and it has yet to let me down. I’m also still in love with these J. Crew jeans – I purchased them a few years ago and they remain one of my favorite pairs of denim. They are so comfortable – I swear I could do gymnastics in them and they wouldn’t lose their shape.
This past weekend Jeff and I visited friends in the city we lived in last year – Regensburg. Jeff had a game against them on Sunday, and we were able to stay through until Tuesday. During the game Jeff unfortunately got hit in the chin with a puck and needed a few stitches, but was totally fine after. That’s the hockey life, right? It’s always a little weird feeling visiting a place where you used to live. It’s all so familiar, but totally different. Despite the initial weirdness, we had so much fun seeing friends and catching up. We will definitely be trying to make it back for a visit before the end of the season.
